The General Assembly encourages participating in events and campaigns that emphasize the significance of youth skills development. The UNESCO-UNEVOC webpage includes numerous learning forums and virtual educational web conferences on youth skills development. UNESCO-UNEVOC also offers a Skills Development Package called "Learning and Working"--
World Youth Skills Day was established in 2014 by General Assembly resolution A/RES/69/145 in December 2014. The Day builds on the World Programme of Action for Youth in 2007 and International Youth Day in 1999.
